It's night time

I thought I should write another entry. Um, what's new...

Well, it's just me and my friend Emmie who will be living together next year.

I'm trying to study for exams and pack up my room since I'm moving out soon and also pack for Europe in America.

I didn't celebrate Halloween at all this year and am feeling very cheated. There better be left over candy!

Since it's night time, here's a slow-release photo of the moon I took ages ago:

That's all :)

Moving on out...

Hey kids!

So, I'm getting the hell outta the Women's College. I'm moving in with two other fantastic girls, Bronwyn and Emmie. We're looking for a house to rent near the uni. I can't WAIT!

What else... I just had a hellish week of exams and assignments, and now I have a week of holidays, which will be really nice. Next Friday I'm heading down the coast with Kate and Georgia for the weekend, for funsies. I've rented a holiday house on the beach, and we're just gonna hang out for three days. So excited!

Anyway, that's all I've got. Here's a photo of me and Kate. I just felt like posting a photo to spice things up a bit.

Okay kids...

I'm updating and you all better, too!

After my very eventful trip in the US, I jetted back to Sydney (way too soon for my liking, I might add). Then I bummed around college with basically no one here for like a week before school started up. But alas, then the bimbos returned and college returned to its suckiness.

The first few weeks of uni have been pretty busy. I have a test today, an assignment due tomorrow and an essay due soon, but none of it's too bad. Even though it's been busy, it hasn't really been busy with interesting things, so I don't have much news. Except that I got braces. Yes, BRACES. They're not actually that bad- I've relearned smiling and talking and am back on the road to eating solids (I wasn't eating beyond the realm of mush for the first few days). Also, they're clear on the top so apparently aren't that noticeable. Except, clever me, I ate a bright yellow curry (as in highlighter yellow) on the first day because it was tofu and I wouldn't have to chew much because I was in pain, and guess what happened to my "clear" bands? Yeah, now they're highlighter yellow. And I'll have to suffer with this for another 5 weeks till they're changed. It's not really noticeable, it just makes my teeth look not as white from a distance. I can't really do anything but laugh.

So, yeah, that's about it. I hope you guys are all good. UPDATE YOUR BLOGS!

Coming to an airport near you...

Ahh!!!!

I survived my first semester of university! And my first set of uni exams! And a semester of living out of home!

God, what a CRAZY few months. And thankfully my cold has gone away. I'm getting picked up in 2 hours and going to the airport. I won't see you guys for a few days still because I'm going to ABQ first. Should be fun, or at least interesting. I'm not too sure how the whole family reunion thing works.

Anyway, since I suddenly have no work to do, I figured I would waste some time by writing this before leaving. It was actually really sad to say goodbye to my two friends who I live with at women's- Nat (who went to SCEGGS and I know through various other entanglements, but shall not be mentioned on the internet) and Amelia. We've spent basically every night together this semester, except when we haven't been at college. It's funny the stuff you end up talking about with people when you live with them. Anyway, they rock, and it's weird knowing I won't see them for 2 or 3 weeks.

Well, I can't think of anything else to say, but think of me when you get to lie flat in a spacious bed tonight, knowing I'm cramped in an airplane seat or manically sucking down caffeine to stay awake during my layover.

I'll see you soooooooon!

30th post!!!

WOOT!

LET THE STREAMERS FLY!

Well, I haven't posted in a while. I've had a buttload of tests and essays, and internet access is expensive at college, so I haven't been good with the posting.

Soooo, what's been happening with me... The bimboes I'm living with are still bimbos, but there are a few really lovely girls that make up for it. Like my buddy Alice, who I go to the women's collective with. She's just been appointed SRC union board member and she's totally good. Also, there's my ex's ex, who, despite the complicatedness and potential for awkwardness, she's great and we've been hanging out a bit. Also, there's her friend Amelia who I've befriended, and she's great. She's into writing, like me, and a stress head when it comes to assignments, like me, and is an editor for the uni newspaper. So things are doing better.

Me and Kate made a podcast a few days ago, too. It was totally amusing and fun, so I'm thinking I might do a few to upload (if I can figure out how to) to keep you guys update with my loveliness. Will see how that goes.

Also my best friend Georgia is returning from being in Canada for ages and she's coming over soon, so I'm very excited.

Okay, that's all I can think of. Will upload some photos or something soon.

You guys asked for pictures of my partay. I didn't take many, but here are a few:

my excellent birthday cake. thank you, mum!

the toxic fumes from the weird-ass candles on my cake.

me making a rather unattractive face. i'm not sure why, but it may have been because of the candle fumes. or maybe my cleavage was itchy.

people at my later party in the night.

canned smoked rigasprats. basically el cheapo canned, non-descript fish carla got me for my birthday. not sure if she was making a canned fish joke or just wanted to make sure i didn't starve at college. probably both.

enjoy. send the love in the form of comments.

Second post of the day- see below for the first!

so here are pictures of the ugly adorable kitty cat. he was named alfie by his owners (which i really like), but paul names all his cats after yankees players (poop), so he'll probably be called rodriguez.

I'm back!

Holla, all!

Yes, yes, I'm finally back. I haven't had much that I've wanted to post on a blog lately, or any good photos either, so I haven't bothered.Things have been kind of up and down for various reasons. However, let's focus on the good right now, shall we?

Well, my room is a total mess. It's littered with giant bags packed with stuff I'm taking to COLLEGE! I am SO excited about moving out. It will be fantabulous.

Secondly, Mardi Gras season has started! WOOT. I went to an underage dance party the other week, and met my future wife. She's not aware she's my future wife, but not to worry.

Thirdly, it's gaymo fairday on Sunday, which is where there are stalls and food and stuff everywhere, and I'll see at least 5 overweight old men in assless chaps. However, I will also be meeting up with Future Wife's sister, hopefully with Future Wife accompanying her.

Lastly, we just got a kitty cat! He's so adorable and ugly! We haven't named him yet. When I get photos I'll add them.
PS. I was going to add more pictures but blogger sucks ass when it comes to formatting.

Gargantuan Post 2- See Post Below for More

this covers speech night and my school formal. see the post below for schoolies fun!

Gargantuan Update 2

about to get on the train to schoolies!

speaks for itself... ahh, the local cuisine.

me and my man-bride, andrej

irish dancing one night in our hotel room

me and my friend vyon enjoying our last meal at schoolies. all we had to eat was eggs, bacon and plain pasta noodles, and all we had in terms of cutlery for the 8 of us was a spoon and a knife. so we passed the cutlery and bowls of greasy ass food around, and ate mostly with our hands.

What, sorry?

I'm done????

I think I may well be in shock. My friends and I (about 20 of us in total, as we have a big friendship group) partied like a crazy mofo last night at a friend's house (yes, I arrived home at the very late hour of 11pm- in my defence I'm not used to staying up late, so I did my best). I tried hard to sleep in this morning, but I woke up automatically. Things feel a little strange. Every now and again I have a little feeling of glee shoot through me whenI realise I don't have to stop watching reruns of Scrubs to start studying in half an hour, but other than that I don't think it's really hit me that I'm done with high school.

I got my hair cut today. Which is a VERY good thing for myself and society. My hair was so big that if I'd wanted to, I could have hid an iPod in my hair with recorded notes and stuck a wire in my ear as I did my exams if I so wished. I didn't, though, because my mass of hair made my head heavy enough as it was.

I've made a list of about 30 things to do these holidays, both fun and really not fun (like get braces), but I have a feeling that I'm going to have to add a few more to my list to get me from now until early March without eating my fist from lack of mental stimulation. So if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

I have 2 weeks until I go on Schoolies, which is the notoriously skanky week of holidaying on the Gold Coast or at Byron Bay (for me it's the latter), an event rife with debauchery that year 12 students nationwide partake on following their final exams. Somehow they think 6 days without sleep and replacing water intake with spirits initiates them into maturity, but I'm not too sure how that works. I'm looking forward to it, nevertheless, as I'll be in an apartment with some of my closest friends, with my other friends in apartments nearby.

Following that I have a few days to recover before I have my formal graduation evening with the whole school, where I will have to endure my school uniform one final time. The next night is the year 12 formal, which I guess is like prom. But more fun and less 80s.

On December 19th I get my exam results, and the next day I receive my UAI, which is a number out of 100 that is based on scaling my subject results from the day before, and is what determines whether I get into the Uni course I want, or not. I only have to get 83 to get into my course, though, so I'm not worried.

Directly following that, I scoot off to the US of A! WOOT! Celebrating Christmas (mmm presents!) and the New Year, and then you guys are coming back here! WOOT!

Okay, that's all I've got. Now, because I've spent the time to write this, you must shower me in comments :)
