The Foetus Thrives

Yes, that's how we spell "fetus" in Aus. I've been meaning to write for ages, but Barb, I just got your comment in my inbox, and it made my laugh. So I'm pulling the foetus from its stasis and helping it thrive once more. Let's see... What's new...

Well, this week, I ahve 2 assessments: Chemistry and Drama. Not too stressed about either as yet, which is nice. Cleaned my room today, vacuumed, laundried, organised; the whole lot. Except then it smelled like nasty fusty vacuum cleaner (because there's some nasty crap in the vacuum and I don't know how to empty it) so I sprayed air freshener, but then it smelled like sickly-sweet air freshener so I had the fan on and the windows going. Now it's settled a bit, which is good.

For those who don't know, next year I'm going to live on campus at Sydney Uni at a plce called the Women's College. It's not actually a "college" as you know it though- it's like a mix between a dorm, school boarding house and sorority. Here's the website:

Now I'm thinking I've already said the above paragraph before... Oh well.

Ummm... what else is there to say?!?! It's the Queen's Birthday long weekend today (it's Monday) which means no school for me! Woot! Basically, it means instead of putting on the uniform and dragging myself to school, I do a crapload of school work in a hoodie at my desk (with pants on as well). School work on the weekend, however, is regularly puncuated with downloads of TV shows. My shows are Lost, The L Word, Scrubs and Nip/Tuck. Unfortunately they've ALL ended now, so rather than making my numerous study breaks shorter, I've taken to downloading the previous season of Nip/Tuck (season 2) because I didn't see all of it.

On Saturday night I went out with my two best friends, Kate and Georgia, and we tore up the town with our bad selves. Well, actually, we went to Newtown (a suburb that's the lesbo part of town) and had Thai for dinner and ate gelato. It was quite nice! Then we came back to my house and yakked for a fair few hours before they caught the bus home. On a tangent, I should now add that Kate is now 18, so can now legally smoke, drink, vote, and buy porn. Which is CRAZY!

According to the countdown some of my friends have started, we have 66 school days till school ends (we then have to come back to do scary-ass exams, but that's beside the point). It's weird that Zack is over a year older than me, but my graduation is only a few months after his. Oh, and by the way, CONGRATULATIONS, ZACHARIA! I don't think he reads this, so someone please pass on the message.

Okay, I think that's all I got. Stay tuned, till next time...

PS: OHHHH! I forgot! I’ve added some photos of me and GFE (Georgia) and Kate hangin’ on Saturday night, but also, in year 12, as well as the big year group photo, we get to have a “muck up” photo, where you can do whatever the hell you want. The one I’ve put isn’t the real photo, it’s a photo someone else took while it was being taken, so the real one will be better (i.e. I’ll be looking at the camera so you’ll be able to see the facial hair- I went as George Michael, of course). Your job is to find me, Georgia (she’s sitting next to me, and we’re handcuffed to each other), Kate (hint: she’s tall), and Pavarotti.
